September is a month when the chill winds are coming their way across the Indian subcontinent. The weather is a bit chilly but not as much as in January. So, September is an apt time for trekking in Kheerganga. To your surprise, it is one of the best times of the year to go for a trek during September. It is the perfect monsoon time with pleasing temperatures. The prevailing sunshine will boost your mantle to move towards the peak of Kheerganga. The trek starts with Kasol. Here you can enjoy the riverside camping. Enjoy a night of starry sky and lights. It moves forward to Barshaini. This is the starting point of the iconic trek to Rudranath and Kheerganga. The trek is around a length of 11 km and it takes around 6 ? 7 days. You get to enjoy the bonfire, camps and excellent food during the length and breadth of the trek. Then you trek downwards towards the basecamp on a return trip to Manikaran.
