The Indian subcontinent has been gifted with the natural ethereal landscape. It is a host to a vast expanse of difficult nail-biting treks. The lofty Himalayan peaks encompass a great many of the most difficult altitude treks in the planet through a vast array of challenging situations including difficult terrains from ice-chilled rivers to unconquerable snowy paths. Here is a list of some of the most difficult Himalayan treks in India:
1. Chadar Trek
Rated as one of the most difficult treks in the Himalayas encompassing around 10 days of walking along the snow-clad mountains of Kargil, Jammu, and Kashmir. It goes up to heights of 10,900 ft. Another challenging part is passing by the icy river of Zanskar in Ladakh. The temperature is freezing cold and ranges between -15 degrees to -30 degrees.
2. Pin Parvati Pass Trek
Having a towering height of around 17000 feet, the Pin Parvati Pass is said to be one amongst the most difficult treks. It hosts the lush Parvati Valley and awesome sceneries of Kullu and Spiti Valley. The most difficult part of this trek is its steep rocky hikes reaching high ice-capped peaks through difficult paths in subzero temperatures and heavy snow downpour or rains that could be found all over the year.
