Rupin Pass and Roopkund are two of the most thrilling and adventurous high altitude trek in the Himalayas. Both are in Uttarakhand with an elevation of just above 15,000 above mean sea level. Considering a few factors, according to me Rupin Pass is better than Roopkund in the last week of June. When it comes to Rupin Pass trek, it is a one-way trek, unlike the Roopkund. It starts at Dhaula and ends at Sangla whereas Roopkund has the same way back for the descent. The landscapes in Rupin Pass trek keeps on changing continuously. You can find assorted forests with running Rhododendron, Oak and Silver Birch along with a complete blanket of snow holding it. The trail consists of many beautiful waterfalls, snow bridges and lush green forests. It is also home to a hanging bridge named Jhaka bridge along with Kinnaur temple. The breathtaking views of the inner Kailash range are something that makes Rupin Pass trek even more magical. Undoubtedly, Rupin Pass trek is the best crossover trek in Uttarakhand.
