Which are the best trekking spots in South India that you went so far?
Nilgiri hills are situated in the Western Ghats, Tamil Nadu. Sharing its borders with Karnataka and Kerala. The hills are either too hot or too cold. The famous trekking spots in the mountains are Ooty, Coonoor, and Katagiri. The hills are taken care of by the wildlife sanctuaries. And if you want to visit, you need to make advance permission from the century?s warden. The climate, however, seems to be favorable between June to September.
Munnar is a hill station that was built in the 19th century. It lies in the Western Ghats mountain range. Having a height of around 5,000 feet, Munnar hill has many hiking trails all around it. Thoovanam waterfalls are among the most beautiful waterfall in Kerala. It is a popular trekking trail in Munnar. Anamudi peak being in a 20km distance from Munnar is the highest peak in South India, at an altitude of 8,842ft. It is famous for kurunji flowers that bloom once in every 12 years.
