One of Manali?s most famous treks, the Beas Kund trek, has both its own religious and underlying meaning. The uniqueness of the Beas Kund trek is the bliss of the hills, the serenity of the meadows, the untouched air, and the sweet hush of waters rushing against the stones. It was genuinely my best experience of the trek I ever had. The rivers in Beas Kund are amazing to gaze at. Beas Kund is 12,140 ft away. In the Kullu Valley above sea level.
This glacial lake is surrounded by grasslands and ice-covered Pir Panjal mountains. The trek begins at Dhundi (21kms from Manali) or Solang Valley, approximately 13kms from Manali. The road to Dhundi is flexible, so you can choose to drive up there and start the hike afterward. If you want to visit there too, then go in the winter month. It will amaze you more.
