Experienced trekkers usually recommend hiking shoes for this trip or any other shoe which has the following qualities:
1. They should not be very old as they might tear down in the middle of the trek since a lot of pressure is exerted on them. In case of new shoes, make sure to wear them at least 15 days before the journey so that you don?t get any shoe bites or blisters in the mid-trek.
2. Shoes with a strong grip as you might need to walk on the glaciers if you visit during the snow season. It?s necessary to have shoes that can provide a strong grip while walking on the glacier or else you might slip and hurt yourself.
3. Ankle support is necessary so that you don?t seriously injure yourself if you by chance bend your ankle on the mountain during the rocky trek and rapture your tissues.
4. You might need to cross 3-6 shallow streams during your trek there so it?s recommended to wear a shoe that is made up of water-proof material.
