What are some tips for a first-time trekker for the Kedarkantha trek in the winter?

Published On 01 Mar 2020 by Oshank Soni

Kedarkantha Trek is a high altitude Himalayan trek located in the state of Uttarakhand. The level of this trek is easy to moderate and hence you need to possess high stamina and endurance. In this trek, no previous experience is generally required and hence the beginners can roll out for this one. The duration of the trek is 6 days and the total distance of the trail is 40 kilometers. It may get difficult during winters with snow layering making a blanket in the ground but if you are firm and strong, it won?t affect to that extent. Make sure you have all the things that are required for a snow trek. So, it is advisable that you do basic exercise and keep your body in a good frame, a month prior to the start of the next treks. Good stamina is a must for any trek. If you are a beginner, we would suggest increasing your stamina by walking at least 7 to 10 kilometers daily for 1 month prior to the start of the trek.
