When it comes to trekking, you know Himachal Pradesh serves some beautiful destinations for the trekkers. If you are looking for some short or easy trek around Manali, this beautiful trek, a source of river Beas must be on your bucket list. It is said that during Alexandra's invasion of India, Beas river had become a big obstacle on his way and is therefore now known as one of the popular rivers in the Himalayas. Beas Kund is a high altitude alpine lake amidst the mountains of Himachal Pradesh that offers people to camp below majestic peaks of Manali like Hanuman Tibba, Friendship Peak, Shitidhar and seven sisters.
Beas Kund, a holy lake is situated at Kullu Valley. It is accepted that Rishi Vyas used to wash up in the flawless water of this lake that is roosted at a height of approximately 12,000 feet in the lap of Mt. Hanuman Tibba and Seven Sisters. The journey of Beas Kund through Solang Valley offers some exciting and refreshing experiences to feel. The Beas Kund Trek, which is considered as probably the most effortless trek in the Himachal Himalayan locale is additionally a short trek of four days from the well-known hill station of Manali that is tucked at a stature of approximately 6,500 feet.
The time period from May to October is considered to be the best time to explore the trek to get experience with some pleasant weather throughout. Summers being perfect for the temperature ranges from 25-degree Celsius to 10-degree celsius. It is advisable to avoid at the time of August and the initial days of September because of the heavy breakdown of monsoon during this time. For beginners, the best time to complete the trek is before the winter sets in i.e at the time of mid-September to the ending of October, considered to be the decent time to explore the place.
Day 1: Reach pickup point in Manali.
Solang Valley is the starting point to Beas Kund. The path is quite rough and will take around 10 to 15 minutes leading you towards a stream. After crossing the stream, keep following the path. Not long before the path closes, recognize an enormous pine tree on the left-hand side of the path. Locate a little path just alongside the pine tree, which goes up through the timberland spread. This path interfaces with the fundamental street.
From here, follow the street till you arrive at the extension which interfaces the Rohtang Tunnel. Next to the scaffold, discover a street that goes down to one side. On the right-hand side of this street, you'll see River Beas streaming amid numerous rocks.
You have to get over the stream. There's a wooden log connect. The stream isn't excessively harsh now, so it ought not to be troublesome. From here, it is a 10-minute stroll to our first campground Dhundhi.
Landscape type: Well-checked street followed by woods trails.
Water sources: You'll discover a stream on the path, yet it could be dinky. It is advisable to carry 2 liters of water from Manali.
Day 2: Dhundhi to Lohali
The path starts with a soak climb as you head further into the valley. Around an hour into the path, there's a stream that you need to cross. This likewise fills in as a decent water source. In the wake of the intersection of the stream, the climb proceeds followed by a lofty plunge. The path is very much set apart with blue bolts painted on the rocks. So there's no chance of getting lost.

Trek slope: Moderate to soak rising all through the trek.
Landscape type: Mostly forested, with pine trees.
Tourist spots in transit: Blue bolts on the rocks pointing the bearing of the path.
Water sources: You are advised to take 2 litres of water. The principal water source is 0.7 km from Dhundi and therefore it is necessary for everyone to store enough water till the camp.
Day 3: Lohali to Beas Kund and back to Lohali
Start ahead of schedule as you need to trek an elevation of around 12,772 feet. With the separation being simply around 1.6 km, it's a lofty rise to Beas Kund. The path is very much checked and very steady. You will reach an altitude of 12,542 ft called Lady Leg. That’s also the camp of Friendship peak. Rest here for some time and take a few pictures. With the clear weather, one can capture great pictures of Friendship Peak. From the camp you one can go to an edge making you stand at the highest point of the place. As you arrive at the edge search for the lake out there. Note that, you won't trek the banks of the lake yet you can appreciate the perspectives on it from the ridgeline, you can also see a soothing view of a lake.
On a sunny morning, you can get a staggering perspective on Pir Panjal Range and Dhauladhar Range very close with the closer view of the peaks Hanuman Tibba, Shitidhar, Ladakhi, and Friendship Peak. Also, down the valley, one can catch the view of Deo Tibba and Indrasen.
Day 4: Lohali to Solang Valley
Trek slope: Easy, Moderate plummet.
Territory type: Forest path and waterway side path.
The present trek is a simple one, you return to Solang Valley through the course you came up from, and within 5 to 6 hours of time, you reach Solang Valley.
The Pickup point will be Jagatsukh, Manali. We can arrange a cab for you from the bus station in Manali, the charges for the same are not included in the package. The cost of the cab can be shared among the trekkers joining the trek. For communications purposes, we will create a Whatsapp Group before the departure date of the trek and will share the details regarding the transportation.
By Air
The nearest airport is in Bhuntar which is 11km from Kullu and 52 km from Manali. You can take a taxi from Bhuntar to Manali which will cost approximately Rs, 1000/-. The airlines that you can take are Indian Airlines, Kingfisher Airlines, Jagson Airlines operating flights from Delhi as well as Chandigarh. To reach Manali by air, you need to have a connecting flight via Delhi or Chandigarh. Delhi or Chandigarh is well connected to major airports across the country. By Road
You can take an overnight bus from Delhi to Manali or Chandigarh to Manali. Manali is well connected to cities by road. The roads are in good condition but there are sudden landslides in the monsoon season. The bus from Delhi to Manali can take up to 14 hours and from Chandigarh to Manali is 9 hours at least. Tickets are available online on Redbus.in, Goibibo.in or Hrtc.gov.in. You can pay online for the bus tickets. You should always take the Himsuta bus from HRTC as they are the most comfortable government buses on this route. You can also book private buses but sometimes sudden hiccups come with them. The last government bus leaves at 11:15 pm at night and starts from ISBT Kashmere Gate. Plan your onward journeys only post noon giving enough buffer for bus delays.
By Train
We do not recommend you travel by train as the closest railway station, Jogindernagar is 5 hours away which you will again have to cover by bus or cab.
