These Indian flowers bloom only once in 12 years. They are considered one of the world?s rarest flowers. It is so rare; it does not grow anywhere else in the world other than the Western Ghats. You can find them on Munnar Hills in a dreamy shade of blue. The nearby treks include Anamudi Peak. It is the tallest peak in South India with the best trekking trails. This area is one of the main Neelakurinji flowering valleys. Their blooming season starts in July and ends by October.
These flowers start blooming by the time monsoon is in its last phase. The moment it stops raining, the entire valley gets covered in a dreamy blue shade, which is a sight worth seeing. The peak blooming season is September and October. However, if you want to avoid crowds, visit this place in July.
