You can consider Chadar trek as one the best winter trek in India. It offers you an entirely different experience with walks over the frosted glass-like river and stunning mountains in Ladakh. It is at an altitude of approximately 11,150 ft where the temperature can drop way down to -30 °C. You should prepare yourself well before you venture into this trek in the coldest month of Ladakh. An unfit person won?t be able to complete this trip without any issues, so first, prepare yourself both mentally and physically.
It is essential to have the right gear to keep yourself warm throughout the journey. Choosing the right organizer with a lot of experience in conducting the Chadar trek is the most important. Give yourself some time to acclimatize in high altitude. So to answer your question, yes, Chadar trek is possible to make with zero experience but only with certain precautions and adequate preparations.
