Start the travel of Amarnath Darshan by reaching the campsite of Panchtarni Camp (altitude of 12729 ft.) and get yourself accommodated comfortably with setting up your tents. Get the tariffs of such tents which are about Rs. 300/-. Around the campsite is a dry river bed and all gravel and through these 5 streams run which is why Panchtarni word is coined.
Then from Panchtarni is a 3 km walk to Sangam Top via Baltal and Pahalgam route especially to reach Helipad place. Climbing Sangam Top is quite tough in this whole trek.
Then after the rest of the daybreak, gradual descent and ahead from Sangam Top to a kilometer walk amidst glaciers and another kilometer it took to reach the great Amarnath Holy cave. All in all, it took 1 and a half to two days to complete the trip and reach the destination.
