How is the Ruby Valley trek?

Published On 01 Mar 2020 by Oshank Soni

This recently developed trek got its name from gem-mining going on in the area. There are several treks in this area, and they are all demanding, at high altitude, require camping and equipment, and some very long days. This trek offers the extraordinary experience of the mountain, cultural, and natural biodiversity. You will get insight into the Tamang and Gurung ethnic groups, well-known for their rich culture and traditions.

It consists of all kinds of landscape and walking conditions. The trail includes flatlands, terrace farms, gradual and steep climb, lush green forest with tall snow-capped mountains. It also provides you an opportunity to enjoy the hospitality of the locals with a homestay. If you are looking for comfortable trekking with good food and accommodation, then this trek is not ideal for you. Overall, you will set off to experience sights of the central Himalayas and Nepal, ruby mines, natural hot spring, and a lot more.
