Published On 01 Mar 2020 by Oshank Soni

Trekking is considered to be an exhilarating and thrilling activity or adventurous sport that involves physical use of an individual?s body. Along with physical activity, mental and psychological preparation is also necessary in order to successfully accomplish a trek. It provides an individual with a sense of adrenaline rush and excitement which drives them to go for it despite the ordeal that it can cause them. There are many trekking trails in the Indian Himalayas. Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Sikkim are the destinations where you can find enormous options for trekking in the Himalayas. There are many Himalayan treks having a high difficulty level which are considered to be dangerous and risky like the Stok Kangri, Friendship Peak, Kanamo trek etc. These peaks have an elevation of over 15,000 feet are considered to be dangerous and an individual needs to have a previous trekking experience in order to opt for those treks. Irrespective of the danger and risk, according to personal experience it helps an individual to get out of their comfort zone. It even shapes an individual into a more mature human being capable of making quick decisions. Moreover, it adds a new perspective to life when you trace summits with strangers.
