It is challenging to get there unless you have received authorization and a security guard with you. To obtain permission, please use your government contacts. It is a protected area in Mukurthi National Park. It used to be known as the National Park of Nilgiris Tahr. It is situated in Nilgiris on high ground.
This sanctuary is not approved for recreational or industrial tourism. Authorization from the forest office is needed for camping and trekking.
