There are a few tips which will ensure a safe and enjoyable trek in the Himalayas:
You need an early training session before trekking.
You have to ensure the correct shoes for your trek.
Along with footwear, you have to make sure you have the right kind of socks for the trek.
You need to increase the strength of your leg with proper gyming.
You need to walk continuously every day for 4-5 kilometers.
Make sure that you train even on terrains that have ascents.
Try being familiar with walking poles.
Ensure proper hydration during trekking.
